Mac Incompatible SATA to USB3 Things: DeLOCK
What the reviews on amazon don’t tell you:
This comes with two USB plugs. One USB3 for data and an additional USB2 for more power. Plug them in in the wrong order and the device won’t show up. Better unplug it and try again.
Plug in only USB 3 and the disk will sometimes show up.
Unless you want to hotplug the drive. Well, you’ll be on your knees behind your desk again.
Let the Mac go to sleep and wake it again. You’ll be juggling that thing like floppies during a Windows 3.11 setup.

And here’s my favorite:
Don’t try using this on a small Mac. Apparently, this piece of dirt cable also acts as a 2.4GHz radio jammer. So if you get it too close to your Wifi and Bluetooth antennas, you’re outta luck VNCing into that machine until you get that USB keyboard and set Wifi to 5 GHz.
