iTunes Locks Screenshots

iTunes Locks Screenshots. Thanks, scammers.

Update 2012-01-11:

Federico Viticci lays down some of the problems with introducing a trusted developer scheme to work around issues with scammers. But Apple (once again) chose the easy way out by simply removing the Edit-Buttons from iTunes Connect.

A more gentle way would have been introducing a mini-review for metadata. This wouldn’t require a new binary and would save 20 seconds off of each review for an unchanged binary.

A metadata-review would only display a simple diff to the reviewer. If the screenshots changed dramatically and now include Mario and Luigi, reject them.
